Jon Sa Trinxa is one of Ibiza’s truly endearing DJ legends, acquiring his name from the small Ses Salines shack-turned bar in which he plied his trade for almost two decades. Over the years Jon has entertained and enlightened tens of thousands of visitors of the island and audiences across the globe, and still continues to do so. A record collector and master of the edit, Jon’s mixes get passed round the planet spreading his uplifting and refined sound. As a man who has played one or two sunsets, we thought Jon would be an ideal Balearic Mystique guest. You can follow his updates and weekly radio shows on Ibiza Sonica on his Facebook Fan page.
“At school they said my obsession for music may have a detrimental effect on my future. Well you can’t always believe what people say.”

Well what can we say? No excuses…We’ve been the blog equivalent of a hibernating Pygmy-possum. So sorry for that. But we’ve been busy with other projects, like setting up this!
So…As the summer of 2011 draws closer here in Ibiza, Balearic Mystique would like to whet your musical appetites, and take the opportunity to pay tribute to the great DJs that have come out to play for us. We’re building up to the first party of the season in June, and each week we will be bringing you two DJ features. This week we have perpetually beautiful Jon Sa Trinxa and Clara Da Costa.Learn More

Phil Mison, a DJ who arrived in Ibiza for the first time in 1993, has been pushing sublime music throughout his career.
His latest release under the moniker Cantoma, “Out of Town” is the subject of a promotional return to the island, and guest sets at
amongst other places, the International Music Summit. Broadcast over the interweb by Ibiza Sonica, Phil inspired the
dining delegates in Ibiza sunshine yesterday afternoon. And none were more inspired than the team here at Balearic Mystique.
We are proud to promote Phil’s new album, that you can buy here, but more proud of the fact he will be treating us to
2 hours of pure Balearic bliss at the LAST NIGHT A DJ SAVED MY LIFE Industry launch for Balearic Mystique this
If that wasn’t enough, Phil will also be appearing at part 2 of the public launch Acid House/Balearic Weekender at Corsica Studios
